Research and script for #3 question of CCR post

Hello! For the third question (How does your product use or challenge conversions and how does it represent social groups or issues), I would like to mention how in our film, instead of the typical race scene im most car films (like F&F), we decided to let all the build-up to the race die due to the main character stalling.

                                                           Conventions we used and challenged

In this scene, you can see how an average race scene builds up, starts, and ends. You can feel the tension between the characters and their rivalry. In our film, we had the build-up, but like I mentioned prior, we let it die when Paulie stalled.

How it represents social groups or issues

A social group we wanted to represents were Teenagers trying to fit in. In our film, you can notice how Paulie is very eager to fit into the world of cars. Details like going as far out to black market parts, him stalling a car like a total rookie, and even his reaction to stalling all show his desire to fit in.

We wanted to incorporate that because teenagers like myself are struggling to figure out where they belong, so we decided to show the rough patches in our film.
